Andrew Linton

We built Andrew Linton Shop to read as an independent designer label, not a mass-market retailer. Then we made the Instagram and Facebook ads that brought shoppers to it.

Andrew Linton Shop

A custom digital storefront for an independent designer brand, not a conventional mass-market fashion retailer.

Andrew Linton Shop: E-commerce website

The brief

For independent fashion designer Andrew Linton, we designed and built a complete e-commerce experience for Andrew Linton Shop. The site was created to present Linton’s clothing as a premium, independent fashion label while making the shopping experience simple and intuitive.

Our remit

We developed the visual direction, page structure, navigation, and e-commerce experience.

What we decided

Design and build the full shop: visual direction, page structure, navigation, and checkout.

What we built

  • Visual direction, page structure, and navigation
  • Clean editorial presentation of the clothing
  • A direct path from the collection to purchase
  • Accounts and checkout on the same site

The result

A custom digital storefront that reflects an independent designer brand rather than a conventional mass-market fashion retailer. The clothing comes first, in a clean editorial presentation, with a straightforward path from the collection to purchase.

andrewlintonshop.com presents the clothing first. Visitors move from the collection to purchase through a clean editorial layout and a straightforward interface.

Ownership

The catalog, accounts, checkout, and production site belong to the shop.

How it runs

Next.js behind Nginx and TLS. PostgreSQL and Prisma for the catalog and orders. Clerk for accounts. Stripe Checkout for payment.

Technical specification

Architecture, systems, data, and how it is hosted and run.

  1. 01

    Storefront

A Next.js shop for one designer label. It meets the high-end expectation shoppers already have in the Andrew Linton orbit — the site connects them to that, instead of competing with it. Accounts and checkout stay on the same site.

  2. 02

    Catalog

PostgreSQL and Prisma hold the catalog: products, variants, and orders. The homepage opens on a current edit; each product has its own route.

  3. 03

    Accounts and checkout

Clerk handles sign-in and accounts. Stripe Checkout takes payment, including size and color on the line, and webhooks record the order.

  4. 04

    Production

The live shop is the Next.js application at andrewlintonshop.com, served behind Nginx and TLS.

The ad campaign

With the shop built, we made the ads that brought shoppers to it.

Keep Your Eyes on the Stripe

With the shop built, SI was commissioned to create fashion-led social campaigns that would bring shoppers to it.

The Stripe T-shirt campaign ran across Instagram and Facebook. The brief called for creative that could stop the scroll, present the garment as a premium product, and work naturally within paid social.

The LBD

A second campaign promoted The LBD, the little black dress, as fashion-led social ads. On-screen lines included The LBD, Don’t leave home without it, and That would be awkward, with andrewlintonshop.com.

Let’s make it.

We build the shop and make the ads. One team from the storefront to the scroll, and everything it runs on is yours.

We build and deploy what you need so you can create and ship what you want. Then we make the ads and place them.
